Compare door styles in our cabinet styles guide.

Semi-custom means the cabinet is built from set box sizes, and you choose the door style, finish, and configuration. You get more choice than stock cabinets without the wait of fully custom work.

Vanity construction: what is inside the box

A bathroom vanity sits next to water every day. Ours are built for it:

  1. Furniture-grade plywood boxes, not particle board
  2. Solid wood doors
  3. Dovetail-jointed drawers
  4. Soft-close doors and drawers

Particle board swells quickly when a small leak or a wet floor reaches it. Plywood resists that swelling far longer and holds screws better, which matters most under the sink.

How long it takes

  • Cabinet lead time: 5–7 business days on average.
  • Project start: most projects begin within 7–10 business days after ordering.
  • Stone tops: a stone countertop is usually measured once the cabinet is in place, so plan for the top to follow the cabinet.

A short lead time means your project can start sooner.

Pair the vanity with a top, sink, and faucet

    1. Countertop: quartz, granite, marble, and other stone. See our countertops page.
    2. Sink: undermount for a clean, easy-to-wipe edge, or vessel for a statement bowl. See sinks.
    3. Faucet: matched to the sink and the holes cut in the top. See faucets.
    4. Hardware: knobs and pulls. See handles.

Choosing all four together avoids a faucet that does not fit the sink holes, or a top cut for the wrong sink.

    1. Buying before measuring the room. Door swing, toilet clearance, and outlet locations decide the width. Use our vanity size and height guide first.
    2. Judging the door, not the box. Under a sink, construction matters more than the door style.
    3. Buying the vanity and top from different places. Mismatched depths and sink cutouts lead to gaps, overhangs, or a top that has to be recut.
    4. Buying for today only. We design bathrooms to still work in 5 to 15 years, so plan counter height and storage for the years ahead.
