Parker Plaza Apartments

About This Project

This was a particularly fun project for us, as we partnered with another terrific San Antonio contractor in Stalwart Construction to upgrade and update the kitchens and bathrooms of all the units at the Parker Plaza apartment complex. The apartment was undergoing a re-branding and upgrade, as they looked to tap into a more upscale, trendy clientele, and needed to have apartment spaces that matched that feel and look. Being located in the Alamo Heights and Terrell Hills area, the apartment complex needed to make sure the units matched the demographics of the area. They hired Stalwart Construction to handle the overhaul, and we were hired to renovate all the kitchens and bathrooms.

We started by ripping out all the outdated cabinets and countertops, all of which had seen time pass them by. Then, we worked with Stalwart and the apartment complex to pick out the perfect style of cabinets (they chose to go with a beautiful, framed birch design in the Liberty Espresso color), countertops, backsplash and accents to create the modern, upscale, trendy look they were aiming for. Once we’ve made the determination on which materials, styles, and products would work best for the apartment, we got started on the installation process.

We handled the bathrooms first, and worked to retrofit the plumbing and electrical from the old set-up with the new cabinets and countertops. We also added a touch of backsplash, tile and accents to create a more upscale feel within the space that our clients really loved. Once we’d finished the bathroom renovation, we moved to the kitchens and remodeled the space there, as well. We had to make some adjustments to the walls and layouts to make our new cabinets and countertops fit correctly, but the end result was a larger, more spacious kitchen area that the residents are sure to love for years to come.

When it was all said and done, we’d delivered an exceptionally high-quality bathroom renovation and kitchen renovation for all the units in the apartment. The apartment management company loved the new look, and is excited to start bringing in new residents. We love these types of jobs, as they give us a chance to build something that will be enjoyed by dozens of people over the course of several years.
